When David starred in the Bell Atlantic’s tribute to the Philadelphia Flyers, he portrayed his role with such passion and intensity, that a bead of sweat could be seen dripping from the end of his nose. Having applied the same passion and intensity to his career, David has earned success as much more than an amateur Flyer.
David began his distinguished career in public relations and advertising quite by accident. While working for TMC (the nation's first resellers of AT&T), David came across a story in the Philly Inquirer about long-distance services and found TMC was not mentioned. David reacted by calling the writer to find out why the company was not featured and filled him in on "The TMC Story". David unintentionally began creating an identity and branding TMC. It was a win-win situation. The Inquirer never again ran another long-distance service story without including TMC and David found his calling.
In 1987, David founded Neff + Associates as a full service advertising and public relations firm, serving a wide array of clients from a various industries. In its 20-year history, Neff + Associates has garnered a host of national and regional industry awards for excellence, while continuing to gain recognition for its talents and achievements through an ever-expanding client base. David’s strategic planning and direction for his clients have helped him to lead the agency from a significant local firm to an agency of regional and national prominence.
Personally, David has also been recognized with many professional acknowledgements including induction into the Philadelphia Business Journal’s “40 Under 40”, Marquis Who’s Who in the East, and the Marquis Who’s Who in Advertising. He is an alumnus of Ithaca College, graduating in 1982 with as B.S. in Business Management and Marketing. David grew up in Penn Valley, Pa., and graduated from The William Penn Charter High School in 1978. He now resides in the Rittenhouse Square neighborhood of Center City Philadelphia, and enjoys spending quality time with his wife Jenine, son Harrison, two daughters Dana & Stephanie, and two golden retrievers.
